Abstract:
To provide a fire-proof material which satisfactorily keeps a laminated state of each layer without using an adhesive in addition to more excellent heat insulation effect and fire-proof effect as a multilayer structure, and is excellent in reliability, and a method for manufacturing the same, and a battery module.SOLUTION: A fire-proof material 1 contains a heat insulation material 10 containing inorganic fibers or infusibilized fibers, and an inorganic fiber cloth 20, wherein the heat insulation material 10 and the inorganic fiber cloth 20 are preferably integrated with each other by physical means, preferably, at least one of needling, resin staple and yarn sewing. A battery module 100 stores storage batteries 110 in a battery case 120, and has the fire-proof material 1 arranged in at least one of a top lid, a side wall and a bottom wall of the battery case 120, and between the storage batteries 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
