Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a failure diagnostic system and a failure diagnostic method for detecting failure of a valve to hold a liquid. [Solution] A failure diagnostic system (10) provided with: a hydraulic cylinder (20); a tank (22) in which a liquid is stored; a pump (24) for discharging the liquid stored in the tank (22) toward the hydraulic cylinder (20); valves (26, 28, 30, 32) for holding liquid transferred to the hydraulic cylinder (20); a pressure measurement unit (42) that measures the pressure of the liquid between the hydraulic cylinder (20) and the valves (26, 28, 30, 32); and a control unit (44) that determines failure of the valves (26, 28, 30, 32) from the pressure values measured by the pressure measurement unit (42).
