Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener system having straight walled driving surfaces that provides a reliable stick fit while improving stability of engagement between system components.SOLUTION: A fastener is configured to have a projection 211 extending axially outward from a fastener head for engagement with a driver 210. The driver 210 is provided with a female socket having matching drive surfaces for engagement with drive surfaces of the projection 211. Projection interference contours 213 are provided on the "A" dimension surface of lobes 214 of the fastener projection 211, and recess interference contours 215 are provided on the opposing "A" dimension surface of wings 216 of the driver socket 210.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
