Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fail-safe hydraulic drive system that comprises a plurality of hydraulic pumps and has a simple structure.SOLUTION: A fail-safe hydraulic drive system comprises: first and second hydraulic pumps; a first regulator including a first horsepower control piston and a first flow control piston; a second regulator including a second horsepower control piston and a second flow control piston; first and second proportional solenoid valves that output secondary pressures depending on supplied command currents, as flow control pressures; a primary line that leads a primary pressure to the first and second proportional solenoid valves; and a switching valve that shuts off the supply of the primary pressure from the primary pressure line to the first and second horsepower control pistons at a normal time and leads the primary pressure from the primary pressure line to the first and second horsepower control pistons at the time of a failure. The first flow control pistons make discharge flow rates of the first and second hydraulic pumps lower as the command currents supplied to the first and second proportional solenoid valves become higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
