Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the peculiar flow of exhaust gas as a main factor for the leakage of the exhaust gas.SOLUTION: An exhaust control valve includes a valve body 3 having a flow path hole 2 in which exhaust gas distributes, a valve element 4 turnably arranged in the flow path hole, a valve stem 5 fixed to the valve element and protruded from the valve element for determining a turning center X of the valve element, a valve stem hole 8 formed in the valve body for the valve stem to be inserted therethrough, and a seal member 22 for sealing a clearance 18 between the valve stem and the valve stem hole, the seal member including a small-diameter seal member 23 and a large-diameter seal member 24 arranged in the clearance to form a labyrinth seal, the small-diameter seal member 23 being fixed to the valve stem with interference fit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
