Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide enrichment culture methods of manganese oxidation bacteria enabling the domination of manganese oxidation bacteria, methods of the generation of bio-manganese oxidation material, recovery methods of metals, and microbial communities.SOLUTION: An enrichment culture method of manganese oxidation bacteria comprises: supplying an organic substrate to a microbial holding member in which manganese oxidation bacteria and manganese dioxide are previously held, or supplying an activated sludge instead of the organic substrate to a microbial holding member in which manganese oxidation bacteria are previously held; and dominantly propagating manganese oxidation bacteria in a microbial holding member and resulting in accumulation while inhibiting propagation of microorganisms except manganese oxidation bacteria.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
