Abstract:
To accurately control a compression ratio in an engine system with a variable compression device.SOLUTION: An engine system comprises a variable compression device having a fluid chamber in which boosted working fluid is supplied, and thus a piston rod connected to a piston is moved in a direction of enhancing a compression ratio. The engine system has a booster mechanism for boosting the working fluid to supply it to the fluid chamber; detection means of outputting a signal containing positional information of the piston rod; and control means of controlling the booster mechanism so as to maintain the compression ratio on the basis of the positional information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
