Abstract:
To inhibit deformation of a cylinder bore and inhibit an increase of rotation friction of a crank shaft.SOLUTION: A bulk head part 32 having a bearing part 39 is provided separately from an engine block 6 having a cylinder block part 10 and a skirt part 20, and the bulk head part 32 is fastened to the cylinder block part 10 by a head bolt HBLT and fastened to the skirt part 20 through a slide bush SB by a bolt BLT. The structure enables vibration energy input to the skirt part 20 through the bulk head part 32 to be absorbed by swinging of the bulk head part 32 to inhibit occurrence of deformation of a cylinder bore 12a. Meanwhile, swinging of the bulk head part 32 in an axial direction of the crank shaft is restricted by the slide bush SB, and thus an increase of rotation friction of the crank shaft due to falling of the bulk head part 32 can be inhibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 27
