Abstract:
To provide an emergency braking device that brakes driving suspended objects instead, when a main braking device loses its braking function.SOLUTION: Braking levers 24 and 25 supported by a frame 4 hold an overhead wire W by braking rollers 29 and 30 at an operating position and generate a braking resistance. A braking spring 27 biases the braking levers 24 and 25 to the operating position. A connection arm 11 movably supported by the frame 4 is connected to the brake spring 27. While a main braking device 1 is braking, a braking rope R is tensioned, the connection arm 11 is pulled out, the braking spring 27 is compressed, and the braking levers 24 and 25 are placed in a non-operating position. When the braking of the main braking device 1 is lost, the braking rope R is loosened, the connection arm 11 is returned to its original position, the braking spring 27 is released, and the braking levers 24 and 25 are moved to the operating position, so that the alternative braking power of the main braking device 1 is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
