This electrostatic separator is provided with a powder input unit 21 to which a powder mixed with granular materials of different kinds is inputted, a charging part 22 for charging the granular materials in the powder, an electrostatic part 23 for applying an electrostatic force to a charged granular material of specific kind in the powder to separate it from other granular materials and a recovery part 24 for recovering the electrostatically separated granular materials individually. The electrostatic part has a rotary-drum electrode 25, and the separated granular material of specific kind and other granular materials are shaken off to the different positions below the electrode along its rotating direction. The recovery unit has plural recovery sections for storing the separated granular materials shaken off from the electrode along the rotating direction of the electrode 25, and the recovery unit 24 is divided into ≥4 recovery sections 29 to 33 along the rotating direction of the electrode.
