Title:
ELECTROSTATIC SEPARATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3434644
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective the separating of steel cans from aluminum ones by installing a metal drum electrode rotated around the horizontal axial center in a position in which materials to be pulverized are scattered on the upper surface thereof and arranging a high voltage electrode and a magnet diagonally to the upper right of the rotation direction thereof and to the front in the rotation direction thereof respectively.
SOLUTION: When materials to be sorted 11 (steel cans 11A, aluminum cans 11B, and vinyl bags 11C) scattered on a metal drum electrode 4 reach some points while carrying an electrical charge according to kinds of the materials to be sorted 11 associated with the rotation of the metal drum electrode 4, they leave the metal drum electrode 4 and fall by the action of electric force and gravity. At this time, in the case of the steel cans 11A, they are attracted by a rotary magnet 13 and leave the metal drum electrode 4 and a part thereof is adsorbed on the rotary magnet 13 and scraped off by a scraper 14 to fall into a separation vessel 7. On the other hand, in the case of the aluminum cans 11B, they fall into a separation vessel 8, and in the case of the vinyl bags 11C, they are scraped off by a brush 10 to fall into a separation vessel 9.
