Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device that can protect against negative voltage and overvoltage without providing a negative voltage protection diode and an overvoltage protection Zener diode.SOLUTION: An ECU 1 comprises: a terminal 3 to which power supply voltage VB from a battery 2 is directly supplied; a step-up chopper circuit 5 in which power supply voltage VB from a terminal 3 is input to a coil 13; a power supply circuit 7 that steps down voltage Vo2 of a cathode of a diode 14 in the step-up chopper circuit 5 to output constant voltage VD1 to a microcomputer 8; a step-up IC 6 that is operated by the power supply voltage VB from the power supply terminal 3 and that operates the step-up chopper circuit 5 such that when the voltage Vo2 is less than or equal to a specified value, the voltage Vo2 becomes to be the specified value; and a voltage limit circuit 9. The voltage limit circuit 9 comprises: a power supply switch that switches conducting/breaking of a power supply line 32 from the power supply terminal 3 to the step-up IC 6 and the coil 13; and a control IC that turns on the power supply switch when the power supply voltage VB is the voltage within a positive predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
