Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic brake which can inhibit backlash.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic brake includes: a housing 11; an elastic member 35 supported by the housing; a first movable member 31 having a first brake shoe 33 along an inner peripheral surface of a rotary member and supported by the elastic member; a second movable member 32 having a second brake shoe 34 along the inner peripheral surface of the rotary member and supported by the elastic member; a link mechanism 4 which connects the first movable member with the second movable member; a first coil unit 51 supported by the housing; and a second coil unit 52 which is disposed at the opposite side of the first coil unit across the link mechanism. The link mechanism includes a first permanent magnet 44 and a second permanent magnet 45. The first coil unit includes: a first core 511 facing the first permanent magnet; and a first coil 515 wound around the first core. The second coil unit includes: a second core facing the second permanent magnet; and a second coil 525 wound around the second core.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
