Abstract:
To provide an electric parking brake device in which a parking brake can be manually released.
In an adjuster 30, a first brake release tool T1 is inserted through an opening 15e to separate an engaging plate 32c of an adjust lever 32 from first locking parts 36a, 41a of adjust wheels 32, 40, and a second brake release tool T2 is inserted through the opening 15e and brought into contact with second locking part 36c, 42a of the adjust wheel and pushed so as to rotate the adjust wheels 32, 40 in a direction A, and thus an adjust shaft can be shortened. Thereby, even when a drive part 20 fails in a state that a parking brake is engaged, the parking brake can be released.
