To provide an electric erosion preventing rolling bearing, allowing easy and accurate end face machining and film thickness management of an insulating layer after formed.
The insulating layer 6 is provided on an inner ring 2 or an outer ring 3 in a range from the peripheral face fitted to a housing or a shaft over the end face. The insulating layer 6 is a flame sprayed layer of metal oxide. A bearing ring having the insulating layer 6 out of the inner ring 2 or the outer ring 3 is provided with a reference face 7 on the end face for the end face machining or the end face film thickness management. It is acceptable that the reference face 7 is the inner face of a step portion 8 formed on the end face or the material exposed face of the non-sprayed insulating layer 6 on the end face.
