Abstract:
To provide: an electric automobile braking torque generation device which can efficiently generate a large braking torque without necessarily requiring a flow-regulating valve synchronized with reciprocal sliding of a piston inside a cylinder part; and an electric automobile.SOLUTION: An electric automobile 100 comprises a braking torque generation device 200 that imparts a braking torque to front wheel axles 102a, 102b driven rotationally by an electric motor 107. The braking torque generation device 200 comprises a compression-expansion mechanism 210, an airtightness-regulating valve 220, and a clutch device 222. The compression-expansion mechanism 210 comprises a piston 214 that reciprocally slides within a cylinder block 212 to increase or decrease the volume of an air chamber 216. A cylinder part 212a in the cylinder block 212 has an intake-emission cylinder communication path 213. The piston 214 has a piston communication path 215 at a position in communication with both the air chamber 216 and the intake-emission cylinder communication path 213.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
