Abstract:
To provide an electric actuator capable of detecting an abnormality and notifying a user of the abnormality before an actuator becomes incapable of actuation, and a parking brake using the same.SOLUTION: An electric actuator 1 comprises a drive motor 10, a ball screw 22, and a controller 80. The ball screw 22 comprises a ball screw shaft 24 that makes linear motion. The ball screw shaft 24 receives driving force of the drive motor 10 which has been converted into linear driving force, and moves in the axial direction so as to operate a brake cable of a parking brake. In a case where a target current value IT is applied to the drive motor 10, the controller 80 outputs a warning when a speed v of the ball screw shaft 24 is lower than a threshold va.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
