Abstract:
To provide an elastic boot for a seal capable of easily and accurately tightening a boot band.SOLUTION: A boot 10 is formed of an elastic material in a cylindrical shape, and provided with a large-diameter cylindrical part 21 as a fixing part to an outside joint member 3 at an axial end part. On the outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylindrical part 21, an annular groove 24 is provided to which a boot band 30 for applying tightening force in a diameter reduction direction to the large-diameter cylindrical part 21. On a drawing surface of the annular groove 24, a plurality of recess part 26, which are open to a planned mounting surface B of the boot band 30 and can hold lubricant F inside, are provided intermittently over the entire periphery of the planned mounting surface B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
