Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust-proof member for glasses having a substantially perfect dust-proof function to protect the eyes from particle matter such as pollen and fine particle matter.SOLUTION: A dust-proof member for a pair of glasses comprises: a cylindrical body that is made of plastic resin or elastomer and has a substantially ellipsoidal circumferential part smaller than a lens of glasses or rim; a skin contacting layer that is made of elastomer and connected to the side of the circumferential part of the cylindrical body contacting a skin around an eye of a person; a lens contacting layer that is made of elastomer and connected to the side of the circumferential part of the cylindrical body contacting a lens for glasses; and an adhesive layer provided on the lens contacting layer. The dust-proof member for glasses has a cut section that is cut at one portion on the bridge side of the lens contacting layer and the skin contacting layer. The cutting section forms a remainder part in such a manner that an end of the lens contacting layer overlaps with an end of the skin contacting layer.
