Abstract:
To provide a dust cover capable of keeping a stable installation state at the rocking of a ball stud.SOLUTION: A dust cover is installed to a ball joint that is equipped with a socket having a socket body having an opening and a socket collar provided at an edge of the opening, and a ball stud inserted in the opening of the socket. The dust cover is equipped with a stud side opening portion installed to the ball stud, a socket side opening portion installed to the socket body, a cover film covering a portion between the stud side opening portion and the socket side opening portion, and an abutting portion that is provided between the cover film and the socket side opening portion, and projects out to an inner diameter side. The socket collar has an outer peripheral end surface, and an opening peripheral edge surface that is a surface between the outer peripheral end surface and the opening. The dust cover is configured to prevent the movement of the socket side opening portion in an axial direction by making the abutting portion abut on at least one of the opening peripheral edge surface and the outer peripheral end surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
