Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress brake noise, in a drum brake having a pair of wheel cylinders.SOLUTION: A drum brake 1 comprises a pair of wheel cylinders 2, 3 from which pistons 6, 7 are extruded in opposite directions, and a pair of brake shoes 4, 5 which are pressed by the pair of wheel cylinders 2, 3. One-end sides 4a, 5a of the brake shoes 4, 5 are pressed by one of the wheel cylinders 2, 3, and other-end sides 4b, 5b of the brake shoes 4, 5 are connected to the other of wheel cylinders 3, 2. Connecting parts 12, 13 to which the other-end sides 4b, 5b of the brake shoes 4, 5 are arranged at back face sides of the wheel cylinders 3, 2, and a plurality of protrusions 16 arranged in radial directions of wheels while being separated from one another are formed at the connecting parts, and a plurality of recesses 17 for accepting a plurality of the protrusions 16 are formed at the other-end sides 4b, 5b of the brake shoes 4, 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
