Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake device having a parking brake mechanism which enables a large lever ratio of a lever for opening a pair of brake shoes and enables a reduction of force for rotating the lever.SOLUTION: A drum brake device 100 includes: first and second brake shoes 17, 19 which are disposed on a surface parallel to a backing plate 11 so as to be able to be opened while facing an inner peripheral surface of a brake drum with a brake center axis interposed therebetween; a pressing open mechanism 35 having a lever 49 which causes a pressing mechanism disposed between one side ends of first and second webs 23, 25 to operate and thereby open the first and second brake shoes 17, 19. The drum brake device 100 has a parking brake mechanism 33 in which a rotation base part 51 of the lever 49 is disposed near the first brake shoe 17 and a lever input part 53 is disposed near the second brake shoe 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
