Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake device which can collect abrasion powder of a brake shoe with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A drum brake device 10 includes: a brake drum 11 which integrally rotates with an axle J; a backing plate 12 fixed to a vehicle body N at the outer surface side; brake shoes 13, 14 which are provided at the inner surface side of the backing plate 12 and supported so that one end can rotate relative to the backing plate 12; and brake linings 13a, 14a which are fixed to the brake shoes 13, 14 and frictionally engage with a friction slide surface 11b provided on an inner peripheral surface of the brake drum 11. The drum brake device 10 is provided with a collection storage member 20 which is disposed on a passage of airflow generated in conjunction with rotation of the brake drum 11 and collects and stores abrasion powder generated from the brake linings 13a, 14a by frictional engagement and included in the airflow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
