Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress large stress locally acting on a drive plate by local pressing force on the drive plate by a radially inside end part of an end surface on the drive plate side of a set block when ballooning of a hydraulic power transmission occurs.SOLUTION: According to a drive plate fastening device 8, a radially inside end part of a side end surface of a drive plate 16 of each of set blocks 10 is cut to form notches 52 so that a circular arc-shaped contact edge 50 formed on the side end surface of the drive plate 16 of each of the set blocks 10 brought into contact with the drive plate 16 when ballooning where a front shell 14 of a torque converter 12 is swollen to the side of the drive plate 16 locates on the circumference C5 on the same radius to a rotation center line C1 of the torque converter 12. Thereby, eccentric contact of the set block 10 to the drive plate 16 is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
