The drift pin 1 has both ends 3a, 3b tapered, planar flat faces 4 formed at the center parts of both the end faces, and convex stripes 5 which are linearly elevated and juxtaposed at intervals circumferentially on a side circumference surface 2 with the twist angle of the convex stripes 5 suppressed to at most 15. In driving the drift pin, either end of 3a, 3b is used in the front. Further, high friction is produced between the drift pin and members to inhibit the pin from coming out. Thus, the drift pin is excellent in convenience when an automatic driving-in device is used.
