To obtain a double-break vacuum circuit breaker which can be miniaturized by simplifying an operating mechanism.
Two pairs of cutoff parts 2 are disposed in parallel in a vacuum vessel 1 made of metal. Two movable electrodes 4 are connected by a connecting conductor 12 in the vacuum vessel. The connecting conductor is linked to an operating rod 14 through an insulation 13 in the vacuum vessel. Since two pairs of cutoff parts are stored in one vacuum vessel, the whole apparatus can be miniaturized. In addition, since two pairs of cutoff parts are disposed in parallel, and the moving direction of each movable electrode and the operating rod can be made identical, an operating mechanism is simplified. Furthermore, since the cutoff parts and the operating rod are insulated by the insulation in the vacuum vessel, it is not required to make up the operating rod by the insulation. Also, since the insulation is disposed in the vacuum vessel, it is not required to take a large creeping distance, and the operating mechanism can be miniaturized.
