Abstract:
To provide a dissimilar metal component joining method that is superior in adhesion and provides secure joining.SOLUTION: There is provided a dissimilar metal component joining method for mechanically joining a first metal member and a second metal member together that comprises: retaining the first metal member 10 which has a reverse tapered bag hole part 13 with a receiving mold 1; arranging an end 21 of the second metal member 20 to close the bag hole part of the first metal member; and applying pressure in this state so as to compress the second metal member and thereby causing the end of the second metal member to plastically deform to flow into and fill the bag hole part of the first metal member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
