Title:
DISC VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3217696
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain stable slide characteristics for along period and to provide high sealing ability by a method wherein one of slide valve elements sliding over each other is formed of ceramics and the surface is covered with a diamond-like hard carbon film through an intermediate layer having a Ti film and a Si film laminated, in the order.
SOLUTION: In the valve element of, for example, the faucet valve of a disc valve, a moving valve element 20 has a fluid passage 22 penetrating through upper and lower surfaces and formed in a disc-form shape and is formed of one kind selected from resin, a metal, and ceramics and an under surface forms a slide contact surface 21. A fixed valve element 30 has a fluid passage 32 extending through upper and lower surfaces and is formed in a disc-form shape having an outside slightly larger than that of the moving valve element 20 and formed of ceramics. A surface 35 positioned facing a slide contact surface 21 is covered with a diamond-form hard carbon film 34 through an intermediate layer 33 having a Ti film 33a and an Si film 33b laminated, in the order, and the surface thereof forms a slide contact surface 31. The slide contact surfaces 21 and 31 are brought into slide contact with each other to open and close the fluid passages 22 and 32 and effect regulation of a flow rate.
