To keep water content and fasten drying when wet of an umbrella is wiped by providing a quick-drying water absorbing body on the back face of a device for wiping wet.
A water shielding covert 2 for shielding water such as a polyvinyl chloride, a nylon and a polyester is used for one face of a device 1 for wiping wet of an umbrella. A water permeable cover 4 such as a net and a nonwoven fabric is used for another face of the device 1 for wiping wet of the umbrella. A water absorbing body 3 is stored in a sandwich-like condition between the water shielding cover 2 and the water permeable cover 4. The water absorbing body is formed of a water absorbing powder such as silica, alumina, titanium and ceramics. The water absorbing power of these substances is e.g. to absorb 1.2-1.4l water per 1m2. In addition, as the water absorbing body 3 is a powder, not only drying is fast but when it is dried, it recovers perfectly the original component. The water shielding cover 2 and the water permeable cover 4 for sandwiching the water absorbing body 3 between them are mutually bonded by heat welding, sewing, etc. Thus quick-drying water absorbing body 3 is provided on the back face of a bag for the umbrella.
