Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fastening device from coming loose, while a conventional device provided with a flexible member used to stop looseness of the fastening device caused by shrinkage of a fastened wood material because of air seasoning comes loose after all.
SOLUTION: This device for fastening and holding a wood material includes a main spring 19 in the shaft direction between a fastener and a fastened member, and two cylindrical edge cams 8 and 14 at the same locations as the spring 19, lead cam surfaces 11 and 17 with the same size on the sides which oppose to the two cams, surfaces 10 and 16 on the sides opposite of the lead cam surface sides. The surface 10 is in contact with the fastener, while the surface 16 in contact with the fastened member, and they are in contact with the two lead cam surfaces 11 and 17. At least one edge cam 8 can turn against the other edge cam 14, and a rigid body is always formed between the fastener and the fastened member even if the fastened member shrinks, by turning the cam in the direction in which the lead cam surface rises.
