Abstract:
To detect an abnormal state in which a solenoid valve is clogged with a foreign substance and cannot operate normally.SOLUTION: A deterioration diagnostic device for a solenoid valve comprises a control unit that diagnoses deterioration of a solenoid valve when applying driving voltage to a solenoid coil to drive the solenoid valve. The control unit measures a coil current flowing when the driving voltage is applied and, in a waveform of the coil current, after the start of application of the driving voltage, measures a first time of the maximum value of the coil current when the inductance of the solenoid coil becomes maximum, and subsequently, a second time of the minimum value of the coil current when the inductance is reduced, to calculate the time elapsed from the measured first time to second time and determine whether the calculated elapsed time is larger than a threshold. If the calculated elapsed time is larger than the threshold, it is determined that the solenoid valve is deteriorated, and if the calculated elapsed time is equal to or less than the threshold, it is determined that the solenoid valve operates normally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
