Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform two kind of detections by providing a position sensor for detecting the abrasion limit from the positional variation of brake lining and a sensor having a heatsensitive element for detecting abnormal temperature rise of brake at the wheel cylinder section of brake. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 11 is arranged at predetermined position of wheel cylinder section 3. Said sensor 11 is constructed by assembling a position sensor 12 for detecting the positional variation of brake linings 1, 1a or their rear metals 2, 2a in contactless and a heat sensitive element 13 for detecting the brake temperature integrally. Upon reaching of lining 1 to the abrasion limit, for example, the rear metal 2 will move to the left and separate from the position sensor 12 thereby the position sensor 12 will function to detect the abrasion limit of lining 1. The abnormal temperature rise of brake is detected by the heat sensitive element 13. In such a manner, two kind of detections can be performed by means of single sensor 11.
