Abstract:
To provide a speed reducer which enables reduction of impact sound generated when rotation from a driving source is input.SOLUTION: A speed reducer 1 according to an embodiment of the invention includes: a speed reduction mechanism which reduces a speed of rotation of at least one first gear 11 around a first rotation axis A2 to output the rotation; and a second gear 13 which engages with the at least one first gear 11 and is rotated around a second rotation axis A3 by rotation input from a driving source. The second gear 13 is provided at the speed reduction mechanism in a swingable manner so that the second rotation axis A3 is arranged parallel to the first rotation axis A2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
