Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder structure of an internal combustion engine which facilitates manufacturing and effectively reduces sleeve deformation when a cylinder is fastened to a crank case.SOLUTION: The cylinder structure of an internal combustion engine includes a sleeve 17, which is made of a material different from a cylinder body part 12 and forms a bore part of a combustion chamber, at an inner side. A crank case side joint part 12a of the cylinder body part 12 has a groove part 30 recessed in a cylinder axial direction. The groove part 30 is provided at a boundary part between the cylinder body part 12 and the sleeve 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
