Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a thin-walled and lightweight cylinder liner made of an aluminum alloy that a gap is not produced on an interface between a cylinder liner and an engine block body, even after a cylinder liner made of a powder aluminum alloy is cast in an engine block body made of a molten aluminum alloy, and is good for actual use.
SOLUTION: This cylinder liner made of a powder aluminum alloy cast in an engine block made of a molten aluminum alloy, uses such a cylinder linear made of an aluminum alloy that the thermal expansion factor of a powder aluminum alloy of which a cylinder line consists is αC and the thermal expansion factor of a molten aluminum alloy of which an engine block consists is αB, the cylinder liner made of an aluminum alloy satisfies formulas of 14×10-6°C≤αC≤20×10-6/°C and 1×10-6/°C≤αB-αC≤8×10-6/°C.
