Abstract:
To provide a cylinder block and a cylinder block manufacturing method, capable of maintaining high shape accuracy, when processing a bore inner wall even after installation, by relieving strain generated in the bore inner wall of a cylinder block installed in an engine as a product.
A cylinder liner holding part 11 having a lower rigidity part than the periphery, is arranged in a position corresponding to a position of a head bolt fastening hole 12a arranged in an outer wall part 12 formed around a water jacket 13, in the vicinity of a bottom part 13a of the water jacket 13 for cooling a cylinder bore.
