Abstract:
The stop valve or slide is for a medium under high pressure, particularly steam, having a housing to which two pipe ends are connected and in which the plug etc. is moved in the radial direction in relation to the current by a spindle. The plug contains an unloader valve with a piston, which can be pressurised on either side, working in a cylindrical chamber. The piston is subjected to the operating pressure on one side and is pressed by it against a seat, while on the other it is connected to the inside of the housing. When pressure in the housing exceeds operating pressure, the piston is lifted off its seat, connecting the inside of the housing via an unloading passage to the pipe end subjected to operating pressure.
