Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily and positively fit an end coupling for a brake hose to a chassis of an automobile.
CONSTITUTION: An end coupling 16 for a brake hose 18 is retained in a hole through a chassis bracket by a spring assembly comprising a wave spring 22 and an anchor spring 25. The wave spring 22 engages a first surface 11 of the bracket 10 with an undulating surface portion, while the anchor spring engages a second surface 12 of the bracket 10 with a plurality of flared tongues 24.
