PURPOSE: To make it possible to carry out thermal self cleaning at a low temperature by forming a covering made up of carbide of Al, Ti, and Si or nitride on the inner surface of a cabinet made of a stainless steel base material.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of transition metals, such as Fe, Ni, and Cr are considered to be an oxide. The oxidizing property is strong and dehydrogenates organic properties and improves heavy-duty performance quickly so that they may be sticky strongly. The surface of porcelain is made of an oxide whose reactivity is weak, centering on SiO2. They have their own reactivity and tend to be sticky slightly. When carbide combined with Ai, Ti, and Si or nitride are used on the surface to remove the defect, the catalytic reactivity of the basic material will be entirely eliminated, thereby weakening the adherence performance of organic substances. Deposition, sputter, ion plating or plasma flame coating, and further heat resistant coating which contains a trace of heat resistant binder are applicable to form a membrane 2 comprising carbide such as Al, Ti, and Si or nitride on the surface of a stainless basic material. Either ferrite or austenitic stainless steel may be applicable as the basic mate rial.
