Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the wrong lubrication of rotary parts of an engine whose crankshaft is coupled to a fluid coupling, by providing a flow control valve in an engine oil introduction passage and closing the valve with the increase in oil pressure. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is driven and engine oil is introduced from the oil passage 51 of a crankshaft 5, the pressure of the oil acts on each end face of a flow control valve 20 provided on an intermediate shaft 7. When the pressure is not higher than a prescried value, the valve 20 is moved to the maximum extent toward a plug 21 by the difference between the levels of the pressure on the end faces of the valve and the degree of opening of a communication port 20c to a communication passage 72 becomes maximum and a maximum quantity of oil is introduced into a fluid coupling 3. When the oil pressure rises and the valve 20 is moved rightward againt a spring 23, said degree of opening decreases. When the oil pressure exceeds a prescribed level, the degree of opening becomes zero and the flow rate of oil also becomes zero so that all the engine oil is supplied to the rotary parts of the engine.
