Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent reversing due to reaction force from a flash pipe in a fluid coupling and improve reliability of its operation, by driving, with a motor, a connecting rod for adjusting the position of the pipe through a driving lever and worm reduction gear. CONSTITUTION:The rated revolution of a driving motor 3 is reduced to a preset level by means of a reduction gear 4, and power transmitted from a worm gear 8 to a driving shaft 10 through a bevel gear 9 turns a driving lever 2 to reciprocate a connecting rod 1 for controlling a flash pipe in the fluid coupling. The position of flash pipe is detected by a limit switch 11 and position sensor 14 set coaxial to the driving shaft 10, while overload is detected by a torque switch 12. Since the rotational direction of worm gear 8 is irreversible, the reaction force from the flash pipe never reverses the system.
