Abstract:
This control cable (10) has a flexible shaft (11, etc.) that is rigid enough to transmit rotational force, a braid (12) having a core thread (41) and a pile (42) fixed to the core thread (41), and an outer casing (13) accommodating a composite flexible shaft (20) in which the braid (12) is wound in a helix at a prescribed pitch around the outer periphery of the flexible shaft (11, etc.), the outer periphery of the flexible shaft (11, etc.) having grease (50), and grease reservoirs (14), in which the grease (50) is retained, being formed between the parts of the braid (12) separated at a prescribed pitch in the axial direction of the flexible shaft (11,etc.). The present invention thereby makes it possible to suitably prevent the occurrence of vibration and abnormal noise while the flexible shaft (11, etc.) is rotating, and also to reduce resistance against sliding on the outer casing (13) while the flexible shaft (11, etc.) is rotating.
