Abstract:
To provide a continuously variable transmission that can generate optimal contact surface pressure on a contact surface of a planetary cone and an input member and a contact surface of the planetary cone and an output member, while improving flexibility in the installation of the planetary cone.SOLUTION: In a continuously variable transmission 1, an input side support ring 23 abuts on a conical surface 14d of an input side planetary cone 14 and a conical surface 25d of an input side load cone 25. An output side support ring 22 abuts on a conical surface 15d of an output side planetary cone 15 and a conical surface 24d of an output side load cone 24. A diaphragm spring 26 provided on the support shaft 16 energizes the input side planetary cone 14 and the input side load cone 25 in directions in which the input side planetary cone 14 and the input side load cone 25 approach each other, and energizes the output side planetary cone 15 and the output side load cone 24 in directions in which the output side planetary cone 15 and the output side load cone 24 approach each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
