Abstract:
To provide a connecting rod capable of varying a compression ratio in a cylinder.SOLUTION: A crank side rod 20 of a connecting rod 1 includes a crank side rod part 23 which includes a hydraulic chamber 200 for storing a sliding part 15 of a piston side rod 10, and a piston side flow passage 231 and a crank side flow passage 232 formed to individually communicate with a piston side pressure chamber 201 and a crank side pressure chamber 202 partitioned by the sliding part 15. A first check valve 31 is provided in the piston side flow passage 231, and regulates inflow of oil from the piston side pressure chamber 201 to the crank side pressure chamber 202. A second check valve 32 is provided in the crank side flow passage 232, and regulates inflow of oil from the crank side pressure chamber 202 to the piston side pressure chamber 201. A flow passage changeover part 40 can switch communication between the piston side pressure chamber 201 and the crank side pressure chamber 202 to the piston side flow passage 231 or the crank side flow passage 232.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
