Abstract:
To provide a connecting rod for an internal combustion engine which can stably retain an oil film of a sliding surface.SOLUTION: In a connecting rod 10, a small end portion 102 connected with a piston and a large end portion 101 connected with a crankshaft are provided on both ends of a column 103. A three-dimensional network structure 105 is formed on a wall surface of the small end portion 102 or the large end portion 101 of the connecting rod 10. Preferably, a plurality of ribs radially extending from a center of a bearing hole are formed on the wall surface of the large end portion 101 or the small end portion 102. The three-dimensional network structure 105 is formed with the usage of a three-dimensional shaping device, for example.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
