Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite windmill which improves startability at a weak wind, and can suppress excessive rotation by a strong wind.SOLUTION: A composite windmill 1 comprises: a vertical shaft lift-type windmill 10; a vertical shaft drag-type windmill 20; and a connection/separation part 30 which connects the vertical shaft lift-type windmill 10 and the vertical shaft drag-type windmill 20 so that torque is transmitted between them, or separates them so that the torque is not transmitted between them. The connection/separation part 30 connects the vertical shaft lift-type windmill 10 and the vertical shaft drag-type windmill 20 at a weak wind time at which a rotation number of the vertical shaft lift-type windmill is smaller than a rotation number of the vertical shaft drag-type windmill, separates the vertical shaft lift-type windmill 10 and the vertical shaft drag-type windmill 20 at a middle wind time at which the rotation number of the vertical shaft lift-type windmill is smaller than an excessive rotation number, and larger than the rotation number of the vertical shaft drag-type windmill, and connects them at a strong wind time at which the rotation number of the vertical shaft lift-type windmill 10 is not smaller than the excessive rotation number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
