Abstract:
To provide a combination tapered roller bearing which is reduced in size and simplified in structure while suppressing an initial cost, and can be properly imparted with a stable preload by easy management, and a gear box.SOLUTION: In an outward double-row combination tapered roller bearing 100, a pair of tapered roller bearings 10A, 10B in which a plurality of tapered rollers 35A, 35B are rollingly arranged are combined between inner rings 31A, 31B and outer rings 33A, 33B in a back-to-back manner. Axial lines CA, CB of the tapered rollers 35A, 35B of the tapered roller bearings 10A, 10B are inclined to the outside of a radial direction toward a direction in which the axial lines are separated from each other. An annular outer ring spacer 53 having a plurality of penetration holes 55 with intervals in a peripheral direction is arranged between the tapered roller bearings 10A, 10B and the outer rings 33A, 33B. Spring members 57 for energizing the outer rings 33A, 33B in a direction in which the outer rings are separated from each other are arranged in the penetration holes 55 of the outer ring spacer 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
