Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain satisfactory coloring at the time of development by using a specified color developing agent and to form an image having satisfactory coloring property even when a two-equiv. coupler is used.
SOLUTION: This color developing agent is represented by the formula, wherein Z is carbamoyl, acyl, sulfonyl, sulfamoyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, amidino, imidoyl or phosphoryl, Q is a group of atoms forming an unsatd. ring in combination with C, each of Y1 and Y2 is a group having a dissociable group whose pKa is 1-12, each of (n) and (m) is an integer of 0-3, n+m≥1, in the case of n≥2, Y1's may be different from each other, in the case of m≥2, Y2's may be different from each other and each of Y1 and Y2 is preferably a group contg. -NHSO2-, phenolic hydroxyl, -CONHCO-, -CONHSO2-, -CON(R)-OH, -COOH or -SO2NHSO.
