Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device which can exert a sufficient lock force for a long period of time while reduce the number of part items.SOLUTION: A cam member 57 separates a first pressure ring 55 and a second pressure ring 56 from each other by the relative rotation of an armature shaft 29 and a worm shaft 40, and makes three engagement protrusions 52c and three engagement recesses 56d engaged with each other. By this constitution, a clutch device 50 is brought into a "lock state". Since the "lock state" of the clutch device 50 is obtained by the engagement of the three engagement protrusions 52c and the three engagement recesses 56d, a plurality of rollers such as those in a prior art are dispensed with, and the number of part items can be reduced. Furthermore, since a lock force generated by the "pressurization (friction)" of a plurality of the rollers such as one in a prior art does not exist, the abrasion or the like of a part can be effectively suppressed, and a sufficient lock force can be exerted for a long period of time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
