Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing valve capable of stabilizing an operational response.
SOLUTION: This closing valve is provided with a water inflow port 21 and a water outflow port 23 in a housing 2. The valve also has a piston 3 axially slidable within the housing 2 with an external operation of a shaft 6, and a pressure counteracting means for cancelling out a pressure received by the piston 3 from water in the water outflow port 23 in the other direction. The piston 3 slides in one axial direction to seat on a seat surface 2a of the housing 2 to close a communication between the water inflow port 21 and the water outflow port 23. When the piston 3 slides in the other axial direction to leave from the seat surface 2a, to open the communication between the water inflow port 21 and the water outflow port 23. The pressure counteracting means comprises a pressure counteracting chamber 4 formed on the other side of the piston 3 and a communication passage 4a for providing a communication between the pressure counteracting chamber 4 and the one side of the piston 3.
